As Fans Wait For The Big Game, The Purple Caravan Makes Stops All Around Maryland

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — It's the biggest Purple Friday yet! Ravens fans are out in full force as Super Bowl dreams hang in the balance. But first we've got to get through Tom Brady.

Meghan McCorkell was with fans all day, as they get ready for the big game.

With the championship showdown just two days away, Ravens fans are ready for the rematch--with a very different ending.

Many are still riding a high from a win in the Mile High City.

"We've been celebrating the Ravens' win since last week," said one fan.

Fans on the Purple Caravan are on the hunt for another one.

"I want to see Brady go down!" said another fan.

Now they've got just one goal: beat New England.

Ravens spirit is written all over the city. The team logo lights up the side of the Domino Sugar building. Ray Lewis doing his famous dance can be seen on the side of the Marriott Waterfront Hotel. And there is a message encouraging the team to go all the way at the Renaissance Harborplace.

In Bel Air, the Ravens Bus Boys got the purple party started. Inside was the perfect way for a purple fan to get to New England. Outside, fans are feeling confident.

"It's time to get serious. We let them do it last year. They're not doing it again. We're bringing it home this weekend," said Ravens super fan Ravin' Rick.

"We're going to walk away with a victory and leave old pretty boy Tom Brady at home crying where he belongs," said Fan Man, Ravens super fan.

Bill Wolfrom wears his Ravens pride right on top of his head.

"It's a lucky hat. Every time I wear it, they win," he said.

It's a win many here are counting on.

"They're going to go to New Orleans, and they're going to win," said one fan.

"We're desperate for another Super Bowl ring. That's why we want to make it happen this year," said fan Scott Walker.

It's a year of destiny fans hope ends in New Orleans.

Governor Martin O'Malley--another huge Ravens fan--went out to the team's practice Friday to wish the Ravens luck this weekend.

And Jessica Kartalija also has more on the fan frenzy.

WJZ is your place for Ravens coverage throughout the playoffs. Watch the team take on the New England Patriots this Sunday starting at 5:30 p.m.
