Prince George’s Police Probe Killing In District Heights

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County Police say they are investigating the shooting death of a 23-year-old man in District Heights.

Police say the victim has been identified as Antonio Delonte Ross of the 1600-block of Tulip Avenue.

Police say Ross was found suffering from gunshot wounds when they responded to a report of a shooting near Ross’ home about 9:20 p.m. Friday night. Police say he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Investigators say they believe Ross was targeted by suspects who fled the scene in a silver Chrysler 300, which was later found in Washington, where it had been set on fire.
