There was a brief stretch with temperatures below normal early this month. However, that was completely wiped out with what’s happened the rest of this month. We are running about 6 degrees above average overall, which is substantial, and 15 of our 20 days have been above average. That is going to change with Monday’s cold front.
A very strong cold front is coming from the northwest. It will bring clouds, gusty winds, and maybe even a round of snow showers that could whiten then ground later in the day. But what we will notice most is the cold air that will follow the front. After hitting 58 degrees, our high will be near 40 Monday and then only in the 20s Tuesday and Wednesday. Overnight lows will drop into the teens. We may get back to near 30 on Thursday, which is still about 10 degrees below average.
Then, another front is going to move our way Thursday night or Friday. This one will be coming up from the south. It will bring warmer air with it, warm enough to creat a possible mix of rain and winter weather when it moves through. When it gets out of here next weekend, it will reinforce the cold air with highs back down in the 30s again.
