Md. Woman Killed In D.C. Ambulance Crash

WASHINGTON (AP) -- District of Columbia police say a Waldorf woman was killed in a fiery crash after the van she was driving collided with a D.C. ambulance.

Police say Christina Latrice King, 31, was killed Friday afternoon when her Caravan flipped on its roof and caught fire. Five other people were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

It happened just before 2 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Southern Avenue and 13th Street SE. Police say King's vehicle struck a car before hitting the ambulance. The ambulance then hit two other cars.

It was not immediately clear if weather conditions may have contributed to the crash.
