BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore police shot a suspect in the 5000-block of Pimlico Road.

According to police, officers were scanning license plates in the area when they heard shots fired.  They found the suspect and exchanged gunfire with him.

The suspect was struck by the officer and taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are searching local hospitals for a possible shooting victim, since they found no victim after hearing the initial gunfire.
