DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ) — Right now, everyone knows what the most popular color in Baltimore is–and you’re seeing it everywhere.

Ron Matz has more from Dundalk, where purple flowers are in full bloom.

When you visit Dundalk Florist, you’re in Ravens Country. The color purple rules here.

“We have all sorts of Ravens things. We have fresh flowers, daisies, carnations and tulips. We have mugs we can put flowers in, all sorts of purple flowers for our Ravens fans,” said Mary McWilliams, Dundalk Florist. “We celebrate the Ravens all year round. The customers look at our Ravens Corner and buy things. They even buy scarves in the middle of the summertime because it’s purple.”

In The Party Zone, they have just about everything Raven. It’s Ravens fever in Dundalk.

“There’s a lot of frenzy going on as we get closer to the Super Bowl. People are coming in looking for the purple lights. They’re looking for everything,” said McWilliams.

Purple Fridays are a phenomenon.

“Purple Fridays are very busy. We sell a lot of purple. People buy purple scarves and earrings. They always come in and ask if we have Ravens stuff,” said Kristen Bowerman.

It’s purple pandemonium as the Super Bowl nears.

“We’re gonna win. That’s it, period. We’re gonna win. Harbaugh will bring the trophy to Baltimore–and that’s JOHN Harbaugh. John,” said Myrna and James Thomas.

Employees at Dundalk Florist wear their Ravens gear every Purple Friday.
