NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Newark Police have charged a Maryland man in an armed robbery in an apartment building parking lot.

Officers say 20-year-old Aaron A. King of Elkton, Md., surrendered Wednesday and was charged with two counts of robbery and other offenses.

Police say early on Sept. 15, two people were sitting on a curb at the University Courtyard Apartments when two men armed with revolvers confronted them. One suspect punched one victim in the face, knocking her to the ground.
