Ravens Nation In Full Force Across The State

WINDSOR MILL, Md. (WJZ) -- The Ravens are Super Bowl champs and many people in Maryland are celebrating!

Fans hugged, cheered and hit the streets after the Ravens took the win over the 49ers.

Adam May reports from Corinthian Lounge & Restaurant in Windsor Mill where the party continues.

Fans were on the edge of their seats--or bar stools--as the Ravens inched closer to a Super Bowl win, and the coveted Lombardi Trophy.  They won it and fans went wild!  Many were dressed in the traditional purple and black with all the fixings.

Members of Ravens Roost 79 danced from the beginning of the game into the early morning hours.

"Oh my God, I was so scared," said a fan.

After the game was decided, it went crazy.

"There was no doubt in my mind. No doubt, no doubt," said a fan.

"Tell Ray Lewis I love him," said another fan.

A guy dressed up as a Raven came to the party, spurring on the fans.

The energy was electric in Canton, as well.

Derek Valcourt reports.

What a night, what a party, what a game!  As soon as the game was over, fans flooded into the streets of Baltimore.

Fells Point, Federal Hill and Canton were jumping.  There was reason to celebrate and a night for the history books.

"Ray Lewis. Last ride. We did it," said a fan.

"Ravens are champions!  Yea!" said another.

"I can't describe it. I love them.  They're great," said a very excited fan.

"Best feeling in the world. Best game," said another.

"It was time. We totally crushed them.  That whole blackout gave them a chance, but we came back and crushed them."

Major roads around Baltimore were closed at different points during the night because of crowds.
