Purple Fever Sweeps New Orleans After Ravens Victory

NEW ORLEANS (WJZ) -- Baltimore's not the only place you'll find people celebrating a Ravens Super Bowl win.

As Jessica Kartalija reports, the party is just getting started in New Orleans.

In the Big Easy, they start early.

"We left Friday evening around 4:30 and drove straight through, got here Saturday 11 a.m.," a fan said. "Been going ever since."

"We've got all our superstars together and they are going to win it," another fan said.

Many tailgated with great food, hours before kickoff.

It's game-day in New Orleans, and fans are out in full force.

Inside the Superdome, there was a lot of excitement.

"This is like a dream come true. I'm so excited and I've been waiting my whole life to come to the Super Bowl and see the Ravens," a fan said.

"We've never been to a Super Bowl and we've held out for the Ravens and here we are! Thank you Ravens!" said another fan.

"It's amazing. We outnumber a lot of the 49ers fans. It's just amazing to be here," a Ravens fan said.

The Ravens fans were so loud, the energy so high. The entire city of New Orleans now going crazy with Ravens fans.
