On Joe Flacco's personality:
"...one of the great qualities we saw in him when he was in college...you could see on the field, he had a calmness about him that nothing bothered him...that's why when he is on the big stage like he is he is unaffected by negative things that happen on the big stage, there is just a coolness and a calmness about him that you can't coach or teach..."

Zinno asked him about the perception that he is negotiating through the media in saying that Flacco should be the highest paid player in the NFL:
"I can assure every one of your callers that on every single media interview the people called me. I never called anybody, so I am just trying to help the media do their job."

On his statements that Flacco is the best QB in the league:
"I speak from a football perspective and not from a armchair QB perspective. I watch every tape. I'm a football guy, I'm a football coach, I know what I am looking at & those people in the media like the (Ron) Jaworksis & the (Phil) Simms of the world that watch tape, that understand football - they're the ones that tend to agree with me."

"As I said before, I was asked a question & I gave an answer. I don't care what anybody thinks. I mean, I am allowed to have my opinion..."

"...he's coming into his prime and has already done things that it took others 10 or 15 years to do."
