Man With BB Gun Questioned Near Hagerstown School
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Police in Hagerstown are questioning a man who was carrying a BB gun near a public school.
Lt. Paul Kifer told The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown Wednesday that police are satisfied the man meant no harm to Winter Street Elementary School or the children inside.
He says the man was walking along the street carrying a BB rifle shortly before noon. He wore a mask that partly covered his face.
Kifer says the mask may have been for protection from the cold.
