Mall Employee Struck By Car Driven By Suspected Shoplifter

TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) -- A PacSun employee was hit by a car while pursuing a suspected shoplifter, according to Baltimore County police.

Police say a woman stole a T-shirt from the Towson store and then backed her vehicle into the employee Thursday evening.

According to police, employees saw a woman put a shirt into her purse and leave the store without paying. Employees followed her and one stood behind the car to prevent the woman from leaving. Police say the woman backed up and hit the employee in the leg.

The employee refused medical treatment.

The woman is described as a black female in her 20s with brown eyes and a medium complexion. She was last seen driving toward Fairmount Avenue. Her car is described as a white 2000 Volvo sedan with a Maryland tag number of 4AY7107.
