Officials Seeking Man Who Shot At Party Guests
LEONARDTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Authorities in St. Mary's County say they're looking for a man who fired a gun into a group of people during a party, injuring one person.
The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations says the shooting happened on Feb. 9 at approximately 12:45 a.m. in the 24000-block of Jenny Lynn Lane. Authorities say the 23-year-old man who was struck was treated at a hospital and released.
Authorities said Monday that they have obtained an arrested warrant charging 21-year-old Eric Burgess Jr. with assault, reckless endangerment and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony. Authorities say Burgess also has an outstanding warrant for theft.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
