Woman Charged With Killing Her Mother's Boyfriend

OXON HILL, Md. (AP) -- A 28-year-old woman has been charged with fatally stabbing her mother's boyfriend in Oxon Hill.

Prince George's County police say Kimberly Smith was taken into custody at the scene of the slaying, which occurred late Thursday night at her home.

Police say Charles Blyther, 51, was arguing with Smith's mother when Smith grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Blyther. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police say Smith told investigators she was involved in the killing, and the knife was recovered.
