74-Year-Old Woman Dies In 2-Car Crash

REISTERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County Police say a woman was killed and a man was seriously injured after an SUV crossed a center line in Reisterstown.

Police were notified about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday that a man threatening suicide was driving into Baltimore County.

Baltimore County police found the SUV in a parking lot on Reisterstown Road. Officers say the vehicle hit the police car and fled.

Authorities say the SUV crossed the center line on Reisterstown Road and hit a car, a minivan and a utility pole.

Police say the driver of the car that was hit, 74-year-old Martha Tabares of Reisterstown, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say the driver of the SUV, 20-year-old Nicholas Frederick Mottley of Westminster, was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
