Weekend Work Means Buses Replace Trains On 3 Metro Lines

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says shuttle buses will replace trains on parts of the red, blue and yellow lines this weekend.

Metro says beginning Friday at 10 p.m. buses will replace red line trains between the NoMa-Gallaudet and Takoma stations. Metro says customers using the bus service should add up to 40 minutes to their travel times.

On the blue and yellow lines, buses will replace trains between the Crystal City and Braddock Road stations. Metro says customers should add 15 minutes to their travel times if using the buses.

Finally, on the orange line, trains will single track in two areas. Trains will single track between East Falls Church and West Falls Church and between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly. Metro says customers should add 15 minutes to their travel time as a result.
