Salisbury Man Killed In ATV Accident

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- Salisbury police say a 29-year-old man was killed when he was ejected from an all-terrain vehicle and hit a concrete barrier.

It happened about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday on West Road. Officers say Vincent Alphonso Parker of Salisbury was traveling on the ATV at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle.

Police say the ATV left the road, ejecting Parker as it traveled across uneven pavement. Authorities say both the ATV and Parker hit a concrete barrier.

Officers say Parker, who was not wearing a helmet, died at a local hospital.
