Steve asked him about his time as the Designated Hitter last season and Davis said it wasn’t a job he was great at to start be he found he groove. Davis said he asked former teammates who used to DH how they handled the situation and he found out it was all about getting into a rhythm.
Davis talked about his pitching performance against the Boston Red Sox last season and said he hasn’t been working on any breaking pitches, but that was something the guys did after warm-ups before games last year.
Ed asked him if he felt there was a different feel about the team during this spring training. Davis told him that yes there is a different feel because of the home postseason games they experienced last year. The team is hungry to get back and experience them again.
Davis was also asked what he thought about the Orioles being picked to finish last in some preseason predictions. He basically thought it wasn’t a big issue and that the team could compete in the AL East.
