Navy Falls To Bucknell 62-46

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Cameron Ayers scored 14 points as Bucknell ended its regular season by beating Navy 62-46 Saturday night in a sneak peak of next week's quarterfinal matchup in the Patriot League tournament.

The Bison (25-5, 12-2) had already locked up the top seed and Navy (8-22, 2-12) the eighth seed in the postseason. The teams will play Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Lewisburg, Pa.

This was Bucknell's third straight season with 12 or more Patriot League wins, a first in league history.

The Bison accomplished a program first by winning 25-plus games for the third straight season.

Bucknell also finished 12-4 on the road, breaking a program record for road victories.

The win was Bucknell's seventh straight over Navy.

Bryson Johnson added 12 points and Joe Williams had nine points and 10 rebounds for the Bison.

Navy committed just eight turnovers, and finished averaging a program record 11.4 turnovers this year.
