Md. Woman Holds Fundrasier For Families Of Newtown Victims

ELDERSBURG, Md. (AP) — A Maryland woman whose godson was one of the 26 victims of the Newtown school shooting raised money for his family with a haircut fundraiser.

Vicki Pellicciotti was the godmother of 6-year-old Benjamin Wheeler who died in the Dec. 14 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary school. The Carroll County Times of Westminster reports Pellicciotti helped organize a fundraiser Saturday at the Elements of Style Salon and Day Spa in Eldersburg. Employees gave free haircuts to children ages 16 and under with a minimum donation of $10.

The money is going to the Benjamin Wheeler Fund, a bank account for Benjamin’s family.
