2 Armed Police Impersonators Tied Up Victims & Robbed Their Home

KINGSVILLE, Md. (WJZ)— Two armed men, who identified themselves as police officers, invaded a Kingsville home and robbed the residence of several possessions.

It happened Monday at around 8:30 a.m. in 7400-block of Mount Vista Road.

The two suspects--who are only being identified as white males—tied up two male occupants of the home and robbed the residence of several items and an unknown amount of money.

The two male victims were eventually freed by a family member.

The two suspects fled the crime scene in an unknown direction.

One of the victims was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.

Baltimore County Police are warning residents to be cautious when answering their doors for people identifying themselves as police officers.

All police officers should have proper identification in addition to a badge.

If residents have any doubt, they are advised to call 911 or their local police precinct. They should not open the door.

Baltimore County police detectives are asking anyone with information about this crime to call 410-307-2020.
