While it’s only early March and the Opening Day line-up for the Orioles is still a process in Buck Showalter’s mind, I have the answer. Granted the final decision resides with Buck, he may want to take my advice into consideration. The one thing in common that all three of these proposed line-ups have in common is that Brian Roberts batting last!

It’s a move that makes the most sense as Roberts has struggled mightily over the last three years and only has a .308 on-base percentage. Plus, if Roberts can’t stay healthy, his replacement at second base is going to end up batting ninth anyway. So like I said, here are my three proposed line-ups for opening day.

Markakis (L) – RF
Reimold (R) – DH
Jones (R) – CF
Davis (L) – 1B
Wieters (S) – C
Hardy (R) – SS
Machado (R) – 3B
McClouth (L) – LF
Roberts (S) 2B
