WASHINGTON (AP) — D.C. police say 11 people have been taken to the hospital after a drive-by shooting outside an apartment complex in northwest Washington.

Police say 11 people reported some sort of injury in the Monday morning shooting on North Capitol Street.

One man was seriously wounded but no one suffered life threatening injuries. All of the victims were reported to be conscious, breathing and stable.

The shooting took place around 2 a.m. in the area of North Capitol Street and New York Avenue. Police believe shots were fired from two cars that were speeding down the road.

He says police don’t have a motive yet and still need to interview many witnesses. Detectives were at the scene Monday gathering evidence and will be reviewing surveillance footage.
