BALTIMORE (WJZ)—It’s out of almost all of our price ranges. When a recent real estate ad caught Mike Schuh‘s attention, he knew we had to take a look.

Of course, the waterfront mansion is behind a locked gate. It’s so big you need a picture from a helicopter to put in the real estate advertisement.

“Absolutely this house has a very sophisticated Crestron system, which is wired through Ronco screens throughout,” Bisbee said.

There’s a central nerve system to raise all the blinds when you walk in the door.

The view from the master bedroom is not too shabby–which leads us to the jaw dropper. The old real estate axiom holds true: location, location, location.

“A very special view, 180 degree view,” Bisbee said. “This house hangs over the Inner Harbor. A 75 foot sweep here, two houses combined, 75 feet of living space, wonderful kitchen with imported African hardwood.”

By Mr. Merritt, Bisbee is talking about the recently deceased developer, builder and athletic club founder Leroy Merritt.

He had good taste, right down to the multi-million dollar view from the water closet.

In all, the Merritts spent nearly $12 million into the home. They’re asking $8.5 million.

“We’ve had multiple offers, and none of them has a financing contingency on any of them,” Bisbee said.

She won’t say who has looked, but you’d recognize their names or companies.

So, with 20 percent down, you could get a mortgage on the most expensive house currently on the market in the city for only $40,000 a month.

Though the agent says they are in serious negotiations with a prospective buyer, the house could be yours for $8.5 million.
