WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says shuttle buses will replace trains on part of the red line this weekend, and the Metrorail system will open two hours early on Saturday for the Rock `n’ Roll Marathon.

Metro will open at 5 a.m. Saturday instead of the normal 7 a.m.

In addition, beginning Friday at 10 p.m. and continuing through Sunday, buses will replace red line trains between the NoMa-Gallaudet and Takoma stations. Metro says customers using the bus service should add up to 40 minutes to their travel times.

On the orange line, trains will share a single track between East Falls Church and West Falls Church and between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly, leading to delays. Metro says customers traveling on the orange line should allow about 15 minutes of additional travel time.
