Montgomery Report To Focus On Student Performance

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — The Montgomery County Council will be receiving an update on how well county schools are narrowing the achievement gap.

The council is scheduled to get the report on Tuesday from the county’s Office of Legislative Oversight.

The report is an update on a 2008 study that focused on progress county schools have made to close the achievement gap by race, ethnicity and participation in special education.

The report will show progress and areas that need improvement.
