Driver Killed When Cement Truck Crashes

UNION BRIDGE, Md. (AP) -- Fire officials say a Woodsboro man was killed when the cement truck he was driving crashed into a culvert near Union Bridge.

It happened about 6:15 a.m. Monday on Md. 75. Authorities say Terry Lee Myers, 58, lost control of the truck as he rounded a curve.

Officials tell The News-Post of Frederick that the truck crossed the center line and landed on its side in a culvert at Sam's Creek.

Myers was pronounced dead at the scene.

Maryland State Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
