Police Probe Fatal Stabbing In Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- Police in Cumberland have identified a man found dead in a home with a single stab wound to the chest.

Police Chief Charles Hinnant said Wednesday the victim is Chad Robinette, 30.

Hinnant says officers responding to a 911 call shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday found Robinette's body just inside the front door of the home on Davidson Street.

He says investigators found a knife that is believed to have caused the stab wound.

Hinnant says investigators have interviewed four others who were also in the home.

He says the body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office in Baltimore for autopsy.
