Mall Robbery Ends With High-Speed Chase In Columbia

COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ) — An attempted robbery at a Howard County mall ends with a wild police chase.

Authorities say three men assaulted a Sears employee at the Mall in Columbia and stole two tablet computers.

The shoplifters took off in a stolen minivan, which led to a high-speed chase with police.

Eventually their vehicle came crashing to a halt, slamming into another car.

The suspects tried to run away, but were caught by police.

They’re now being held on $250,000 bail–charged with robbery, assault and theft.
