Talbot Co. Man Found Dead In Bedroom Fire
ST. MICHAELS, Md. (AP) -- Fire officials say a man has died in a house fire in St. Michaels.
Firefighters were called by a neighbor about 12:30 a.m. Thursday to the one-story wood-frame home. About 35 firefighters battled the blaze in a bedroom and brought it under control in about 15 minutes.
The body of a man was found in the bedroom. His identity and cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Officials say the house suffered heat and smoke damage estimated at $45,000. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
