Baltimore Orioles Second Baseman Brian Roberts Talks Spring Training

 

Baltimore Orioles 2nd baseman Brian Roberts joined the Norris & Davis show to talk about spring training and opening day.

Steve asked Brian about how he is feeling these days. Brian said he is looking forward to opening day and he feels better than he has in years. Brian said he played three days in a row and hi body reacted well to the strain..."the hip is getting better everyday".

On how he is playing Brian said his game feels great right now, feels better than he expected coming in. Brian also said he will not stop with the head first slide.

Ed asked Brian what do you think a realistic guess is for how man games he will play. Brian said his desire is to play 150 or 160 games in a perfect world, but he is not going o put any expectation on this season.

Steve asked Brian if there is a different confidence level since the team had its first winning season in years. Brian said the atmosphere is a little different this year. They always want to win but this year they have guys who expect to win since they did last year.

Brian said that Kevin Gausman has been the most impressive young player so far, and has wowed opposing players as well.

Brian also said that the players are not thinking about the scheduling conflict on September 5th between the Orioles and the Ravens. He believes eventually it will get worked out and Baltimore will be able to enjoy the two teams that they love.
