3-Year-Old Girl Injured In Fall From 4th Floor

ASPEN HILL, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police say a 3-year-old girl was seriously injured in a fall from a fourth-floor apartment.

Police say the girl fell about 9 a.m. Monday from an apartment on Bel Pre Road in Aspen Hill. Capt. Paul Starks says the girl or her 5-year-old brother may have opened the window and were looking outside before the girl fell. Police say two adult family members were home at the time.

Authorities say the girl was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring and transferred later to Children's Hospital, where she was reported in serious but stable condition.
