Walt Williams Talks Terps Basketball
Maryland Basketball analyst and former Terp Walt Williams joined Ed & Steve to discuss Maryland Men's basketball. The Terps are currently in semi-finals of the NIT an await the winner of Iowa and Virginia.
Steve asked about this Maryland team looking different from earlier in the season. Williams responded but saying the defense and rebounding has been solid all season long, but where the Terps lacked consistency was on the offensive end. He went on to say over the last few games they have been better offensively even in their losses to North Carolina and Virginia.
Ed asked about Alex Len and the possibility of him darting to the NBA after this season. Williams told the guys that Len probably will go pro but he isn't 100 percent sure of that. He also said that Len is one of those guys who will be a better pro than college player when things are said and done.

Steve asked for Williams to tell the story about how he helped get Florida Gulf Coast head coach Andy Enfield's career kick started a little bit. Williams told them about how he was playing some pickup basketball at Cole Field House during the off-season after his rookie year in the NBA and he saw this kid knocking down 30 consecutive shots from just inside the arc to NBA range. Andy Enfield happened to be that kid and he helped Walt become a "shooter" in the NBA.
