MTA Unveils New Online Ticketing Service

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- MTA riders will soon have a new way to purchase tickets.

Beginning on Monday, the transit administration will begin offering commuter bus tickets and weekly or monthly passes online through a new MTA Commuter Direct website.

The website offers split credit card payments and renewable orders. It accepts SmartBenefits, vouchers and employer-sponsored credit cards. Users of the old system will have to enter new payment information in the new system.

The new train tickets and bus passes will go on sale Monday.

Commuter bus fares will no longer be available from MTA's online Pass Store.
