Burger King Manager Beaten During Restaurant Robbery

SALISBURY, Md. (CBS Baltimore) -- Police are searching for two armed men who beat the manager of a local Burger King and bound the employees after having them remove their clothes during a robbery early Monday.

The incident happened shortly before 1 a.m. at the restaurant located at 101 W. Naylor Mill Road.

Police say the robbery began when one of the employees was taking trash out behind the restaurant. That's when the suspects approached the employee at gunpoint and led him back inside to the manager, who they forced to try and open the safe. When he couldn't get it open, police say the suspects struck the manager several times in the head.

The suspects then forced the employees to remove their pants and shoes, before tying their hands and feet. They then took cash from the restaurant and from the employees and fled in a car parked outside.

One of the employees was able to free themselves and call police. The manager was treated at a local hospital for head injuries and released.

Police describe the suspects in a news release as a black male approximately 5'11" to 6'2" with a stocky build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black mask and gloves; and a black male approximately 5'11" to 6'2" with a thin build and also wearing all black clothing and gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call Salisbury Police at 410-548-3165 or CrimeSolvers at 410-548-1776.
