Preliminary investigation indicates Gail Mills, 65, was driving a 2002 Ford van on westbound Rt. 50 when she made a left turn on Dutchman’s Lane, colliding with an unmarked 2009 Ford Crown Victoria driven by state trooper Det. Sgt. Kevin Beauchamp, 43, in the eastbound lane.

The crash occurred in the intersection of eastbound Rt. 50 and Dutchman’s Lane.

Both drivers were flown to Shock Trauma. Mills is listed in serious condition and Beauchamp has been released from the hospital.
