Baltimore Orioles v Tampa Bay Rays

Today’s show covered a variety of topics from Rice’s firing from Rutgers to the newest scandal at Auburn to Jimmy Patsos moving on to Siena.

However, nothing seemed to garner as much interest as the O’s loss last night to the Rays. They blew a four run lead and the bullpen looked nothing like last year’s lights out crew.

That said I think the fan frustration, although a little premature ( it was game 2 out of 162), is an indication of a much bigger and positive issue.

This season for the first time in a long time the fan base has much higher expectations of this ball club. Watching the team squander a four run lead is no longer something to be expected but now something that is unacceptable.

For that reason and that reason alone it was well worth hearing fans complain about a Wednesday night loss during the first week of the season.

Can’t wait until tomorrow’s home opener.
