Couple Donates Home For Md. School Raffle
MIDDLETOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland couple has donated a $475,000 house for a raffle that will benefit their former high school.
Mark and Donna Gaver donated the four-bedroom Middletown house for a raffle that will benefit Middletown High School. The money that's raised will pay off the home's existing loan. Additional proceeds from the raffle will help pay for a renovation of the high school's stadium which was built in 1974.
The Middletown High School Sports Club, which is sponsoring the raffle, hopes to sell 15,000 tickets at $100 each.
The raffle drawing will be held June 13 at the Hollow Creek Golf Club. Information about the drawing is online at: www.middletowndreamhome.com.
