Orioles Pitcher TJ McFarland Talks Major League Debut

T.J. McFarland the youngest member of the Orioles pitching staff joined Ed & Steve to talk about his major league debut. McFarland went 3 and 1/3 innings against the Minnesota Twins in his debut Saturday night striking out five batters and giving just one hit.

Steve started by asking about his debut. McFarland said it was awesome and that his job is to help the team get to Jim Johnson to close out the game.

Ed asked how it feels to work with Matt Wieters. McFarland told him that it’s great to play with such a important player and have many positive things to say about Wieters.

Steve asked about the support McFarland received from family members during his outing. He told him that the three most important people to him were able to make the game and that is all that really mattered to him.
