Randy Edsall Adjusting Terps Recruiting To Prepare For Big 10

University of Maryland football coach Randy Edsall joined the Vinny & Rob show on 105-7 The Fan Monday to talk about spring training and expectations for this fall.

Co-host Vinny Cerrato asked Coach Edsall what improvements have been made this spring by his coaches and players in order to compete in the Big Ten. "We have to be able to run the ball better. We have to get bigger and stronger. We've got to come back with everybody knowing what their job is and everybody going out and being able to perform their job when they report back on August 4th and they start practice on the 5th," said Edsall.

Edsall was asked how the transition to the Big Ten will effect who he recruits, "We need big athletic offensive linemen regardless if we were in the Big Ten or in the ACC."

Besides offensive lineman, Coach Edsall is looking for "...wide receivers and running backs who can make plays and inside guys who can hold the point and outside guys who can rush the passer."

As far as recruiting Edsall added, "They know exactly what they are looking for," in order to prepare for the upcoming season.

The Terps will have a spring game this Friday, April 12th at the Byrd stadium at 7 p.m. free of charge for fans.
