HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — The Office of the State Fire Marshal says four more people have been arrested in connection with some 40 fires set in Washington and Frederick counties.

Authorities announced the arrests Wednesday night and said they concluded the investigation into the fires, which started a month ago. The fires, which burned cars, trash containers, a barn and a garage, caused more than $130,000 in damage.

The most recent people arrested are 18-year-old Jacob Hess and 19-year-old Joshua Hess, both of Clear Spring; and 19-year-old Sarah Couch and 19-year-old Brandy Sneider-Koontz, both of Mercersburg, Pa.

They are each charged with numerous arson-related offenses and are being held on bond.
