Tim Grover

Tim Grover author of Relentless: From Good To Great To Unstoppable joined Ed & Steve to talk about the Michael Jordan "flu" game and talk some NBA.

Steve asked Tim what is the real story behind the "flu game". Tim said there were numerous games where Michael Jordan claimed to have the flu but he did not it was really food poisoning. But Tim said that doesn't diminish what Michael did because whether it was flu or food poisoning it was an amazing accomplishment.

Tim then told the story of how the food delivery was very suspicious and how the pizza they had may have been poisoned to make Michael not play in the game in Utah.

Tim then talked about how everyone has a dark-side that you don't want people to know about. Tim said the great ones can harness that dark-side and others allow the dark-side to control them and ruin their lives.

Tim Grover then went on to talk about the NBA and how if LeBron can lead his team to another championship he would look at him as an MJ level player. Tim Grover also said the most athletically gifted athlete he ever worked with was Charles Barkley, and that Barkley's measurables if they had kept those stats back then would have been off the charts.
