Woman Charged In Bomb Hoax In Md.

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- The Carroll County Sheriff's Office says a warrant has been obtained charging a Pennsylvania woman with making a bomb threat that forced the evacuation of two courthouses.

The county's Circuit and District Court buildings in Westminster were evacuated Tuesday after court officials received an anonymous telephone call claiming that an explosive device had been left in one of the buildings. No device was found and the call was determined to be a hoax.

After an investigation, deputies obtained a warrant charging Kaylissa Lashel Kelly, 19, of Littlestown, Pa. with making the call. Detectives say Kelly made the call on behalf of an acquaintance who was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

Kelly was arrested at her home on Friday. She is awaiting extradition to Maryland.
