Md. Officials Seeking Man Who Cut Ankle Bracelet

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Officials in Baltimore are looking for an offender who cut off his ankle monitor bracelet and walked away from the home where he was staying.

Maryland's Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services says Julian Watts, 30, cut off his ankle bracelet Sunday afternoon. He had been staying in the 700-block of Dolphin Street in Baltimore. Officers went to the area but could not find him.

Officials say Watts was serving 12 years for automobile theft, handgun violations and carjacking. He was nearing the end of his sentence and was therefore eligible to live in the community.
