WEATHER BLOG: Cloudy

A coastal area of low pressure will develop along the East Coast Monday and provide us with increasing cloud cover by the evening, as well as the chance for an isolated sprinkle for areas along the Eastern Shore through Tuesday morning.

Another winter storm out in the Midwest will make its approach toward the eastern seaboard by Wednesday. Expected impacts will be widespread rainfall, mainly Wednesday night, ending by Thursday morning as the system's cold front passes through.

The biggest forecast challenge is the timing of the frontal passage. If it clears out quickly, Thursday will be dry with sunshine returning by afternoon. If it moves through slowly, then we could see lingering showers Thursday morning with limited sunshine by the afternoon.
