Voice of the Toronto Blue Jays joins The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to talk about R.A. Dickey and what its like to go up against a knuckleballer. Buck breaks down what makes R.A. Dickey different from other, more traditional knuckleball throwers. Buck talks about all the new players the Blue Jays acquired this off-season and who has meant the most to the team so far in the season. With a lot of speed on the roster, Buck talks about the struggles the Blue Jays have faced so far with getting guys on base to show off said speed. Buck talks about the slow start by the Blue Jays bats, but he expects them to get better as players like Jose Bautista get healthy. We ask Buck on his take on the Orioles and this is what he had to say;

“I think they got the taste of winning last year and they like it. They know now how to win and close out games. Of course they’ve got a terrific bullpen. Ya know they have good hitters up and down the order.” – Buck Martinez

Buck goes on to talk about how the offense and a tight defense will keep the Orioles in the mix, and with the taste of the post season last year, he doesn’t expect them to be going away anytime soon.  Martinez tells us how our Buck Showalter is able to turn around the way that this team has played.
