Steve asked about Dan projecting the Ravens to take Matt Elam. Dan said that the pick made sense. Elam makes big plays and the Ravens needed to get stronger up the middle of the defense.

Bob asked if Elam's height is going to be a big problem in the NFL. Dan said take a look at the players leaping ability. If a shorter guy can jump then you will be fine and Matt Elam has a 36 inch vertical which is great.

Steve wanted to know who was the best option of the guys left for the Ravens. Dan said he definitely would take Elam so he believes the Ravens made the right choice.

Bob asked about the Bills taking E.J. Manuel. Dan said there are a few things that quarterbacks really need and accuracy is one of them. Dan thinks Manuel could have been taken later and his accuracy isn't great.

Steve asked who the Ravens should be targeting in the second round. Linebacker seems like the best option for the Ravens and Dan said Kevin Reddick from North Carolina is a good option as well as Jon Bostic from Florida. Both Reddick and Bostic are graded as last 2nd or early 3rd round picks.

To finish up the interview Steve asked about how the 1st round went for the Ravens AFC North competitors. Dan told him the Jarvis Jones for Pittsburgh was a great college player but after his combine numbers people are wondering if Georgia schemed to get him open for sacks. He said that Tyler Eifert for the Bengals could be used as a wide receiver along with A.J. Green and Jermaine Gresham. Lastly the Browns picked Barkevious Mingo who is a very athletic pass-rusher, but wanted to see him get stronger.
