ST. MICHAELS, Md. (AP) — St. Michaels town officials say they are preparing to apply to the state for a sustainable community designation. Town officials say that will improve the waterfront community’s chances of obtaining funding for projects.
The application specifies areas where the town hopes to make improvements, including sidewalks, water lines, stormwater management and park upgrades.
Roy Myers, a member of the town planning commission, told The Star Democrat of Easton that it could take until the end of the year before the town learns if the application has been approved.
