Ourlads' General Manager and National Scout, Dan Shonka, has been involved in player personnel work for 39 years. He is one of, if not the only, NFL Draft Analyst to have played the game, coached the game, recruited high school players on the major college level, and scouted professionally. Shonka scouted for National Football Scouting, the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Philadelphia Stars of the USFL for a combined 16 years. Dan joined Bob& Steve to re-cap the NFL draft with a focus on the Ravens picks.

Dan talked about how great of an athlete Arthur Brown is at linebacker. Dan also talked about Ricky Wagner being a steal in the 5th round. Dan was very high on the Ravens draft as a total.

Bob asked Dan if Brandon Williams was a steal in the 3rd round. Dan said he was and that Brandon reminds him of Hollis Thomas who Dan signed as a UDFA with the Eagles.  Thomas had a long career and Dan believes Brandon will do the same and that Brandon plays with great leverage.

Dan also expounded on Arthur Brown saying he needs to build up strength and cover him up since he is a little bit undersized.

Dan talked about how deep of a draft this was and that you could find players all throughout this draft, saying if you didn't find any players you need new personnel people. Dan was touting the St. Louis Rams as another team who really knocked this draft out of the park.

Finally Dan talked about Tim Tebow who was cut this morning. Dan said that he does believe there is a place for Tebow in the NFL but probably not at the quarterback position. Dan said there are too many positives for Tebow not to find another NFL job.
