Motorcyclist Killed In Baltimore Co.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- Baltimore County Police are investigating the death of a motorcyclist.

Police say Michael William Ruehling, 41, was driving southbound on Glen Arm Road, 1/4 mile from Manor Road, when he crashed his 1994 Honda motorcycle.

Preliminary investigation shows that Ruehling drove off the west side of Glen Arm Road. The motorcycle struck a small post and mailbox , and continued southbound along a grassy roadside.

Police say Ruehling then hit a roadway curve warning sign post, as well as the bottom of a power line tower.

The motorcycle continued southbound, striking a stone retaining wall at the edge of a driveway. He was ejected and came to rest in the southbound lane of Glen Arm Road. The motorcycle came to rest in the northbound lane of Glen Arm Road.

Ruehling was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
